Some parts of this country is just stunningly beautiful. Liberia is covered with very green rain-forest.
Many old cars around Liberia. This one has probably been standing still for a while :)
Palm Wine is rather popular in the rural areas around here. We went out on a hunt for it while on a visit to the town Tubmanburg about 80km:s North of Monrovia. The wine has kind of a coconut flavor and while not the best wine I have ever tasted it was not bad either. Not sure if I will ever drink it again but it was fun trying :)
Keep your stuff well locked up while in Monrovia, poverty is around and thieves are quite plenty.
Before the civil war this hotel was the finest in Monrovia. The location is excellent with beautiful views over the ocean and Monrovia. Unfortunately this hotel is now only used for hosting communitcation equipment like cell phone networks. I really hope someone will restore this place to it's former glory sometime in the future.

This bridge used to be very busy until about a year ago when it suddenly collapsed. Fortunately noone was injured in the collapse and people now use it for diving and laundry instead. Also on picture here is my Liberian friend McGregory.
Me and a couple of UN guys went to the beach last sunday to relax and do some surfing. I was actually impressed by the beaches around Monrovia. As long as you stay away from the ones near town that are infected by sewage from the city the beaches are very nice and the water very warm.
