The amount of Liberian dollars you get for ten US dollars :)

Was somewhat surprised to see traffic jams even in downtown Monrovia. As it turns out, it happens every day! The bridge seen on this picture is where one of the major fights of the Liberian civil war played out! The brigde used to separate the two sides in the war, now it just connects two parts of Monrovia. Looking closer at the lamp-posts one can clearly identify bullet-holes from the fighting.
This UN mission is pretty well equiped with both Russian manpower and vehicles.
The enormous ballons on this picture are used to store water.

One of the best views of the Sydney harbour bridge I managed to capture on this trip. Weather was a bit on the wet side. I walked over 12 kilometers on this rainy Sunday! Returned to my hotel completely soaked :)
I actually tried Kanagroo meat on this trip, not dried as on this picture but on a pizza. It's not bad but I don't see myself eating it again anytime soon :)

Decided to check out some of the more popular scenery while up in the mountains.

For my only free time on this trip to Sydney I decided to head up to the Blue Mountains just about 100 kilometers away from Sydney. Rented a car and got on my way. Navigating out of Sydney was not very hard and managed to reach the mountains about two hours after leaving town. One of the things I decided early on to check out on this trip to the mountains is a steam railway zig-zagging down the mountain. Unfortunately I saw the train leaving as I reached the station. The next train was about two hours away and since I did not feel like waiting for two hours I decided to catch up with the train at the bottom station, just a 45 minute walk said the staff.

After walking for about 30 mins i finally see the station down in the valley.
